All the shirts are currently hand-printed by me on a home-made press my father and I built from scratch. As for execution and presentation of the ideas, much of the direction I have taken is based on direct feelings I had in the first stages of conception. I knew right from the start that the designs would first be presented in one colour using gold metallic ink on dark fabric. As well, it is important to me that the physical printing have an earthy feel. Therefore, I am using 110 mesh screens, which, combined with the flecks of metallic in the gold, yield a slightly distressed look (as the physical size of the flecks interacts with the screen), giving the prints a tactile texture. THIS IS IMPORTANT TO NOTE, as the shirts do not come with a pristine/fully flooded/gooey/solid image area. Below is an actual printed sample.
